Villa Bois Chandelle

This garden has been designed with a strong emphasis on resilience and sense of place, incorporating a wide selection of endemic plant species well adapted to the island’s hot climate and cyclonic conditions.

These are complemented by a curated mix of exotic plants, introduced to enrich the composition with varied textures, seasonal colour, and distinct focal points.

Planting has been carefully selected to withstand the harsh, dry summers typical of the northern region of the island.

Drought-tolerant species form the backbone of the scheme, ensuring longevity and reduced maintenance while maintaining a visually engaging landscape throughout the year.

Trees and palms are strategically positioned along the boundaries to provide partial screening, filtering views while still allowing airflow and light.

This creates a sense of enclosure without feeling overly dense, maintaining a balanced and comfortable outdoor environment.

Hardscape elements play a key role in structuring the garden. Corten steel edging is used to define planting beds with a clean, contemporary finish, while coral stone and slab pathways guide movement through the space. These elements clearly articulate transitions between planted areas, lawn, and circulation zones, resulting in a cohesive and well-organised garden layout.
